it’s a d.i.y. story in synthesiser music. record connoisseur and musician Veronica Vasicka lives in brooklyn and hosts her own show with focus in obscure electronic gems on co-founded East Village Radio since 2003. inspired, inter alia, by music she gathered for her weekly 2 hrs radio broadcast, she launched the Minimal Wave label in 2005. mainly devoted to bring rare recordings to the public, music that was previously unavailable, especially cassette material from the 80s. her sublabel Cititrax featured current projects as complement.
